Everything You’ve Wanted to DM Your Esthetician at 2 a.m.
"Can I book Dermaplaning and Microneedling in the same visit?" Yes - if your skin is calm and healthy, we’ll dermaplane first (for max product penetration) and follow with microneedling. Plan on 90 minutes total.
"Who should skip these treatments?" If you’re pregnant / breast-feeding, on Accutane, have active cystic acne, open wounds, or a compromised immune system, hold off on Microneedling. Dermaplaning is generally pregnancy-safe, but we’ll confirm during intake.
"Does Microneedling hurt?" We apply a medical-grade numbing cream first. Most clients rate discomfort a 2–3 out of 10—more “sandpapery” than painful.
"When can I wear makeup afterward?" Dermaplaning: right away (though you might love your raw glow so much you’ll skip it). Microneedling: wait 24 hours to let those micro-channels close up.
"Any post-treatment no-nos?" For 48 hours post-Microneedling, avoid heavy workouts, pools, saunas, direct sun, and active ingredients (think acids, retinol). Stick to the Skin Script aftercare we send you home with.
"How do I decide which service is right for me?" Quick rule of thumb: -Need an instant glow and baby-smooth makeup canvas? Go Dermaplaning. -Chasing long-term collagen, fading scars, or tightening pores? Microneedling. Still not sure? Book a complimentary consult and we’ll map out your glow game plan.
"Will Dermaplaning make my peach fuzz grow back thicker or darker?" Nope! Vellus hair grows back with the exact same color and texture. Genetics > scalpels.
"How should I prep my skin?" Arrive with a clean face and skip retinoids, exfoliants, and self-tanner for 72 hours pre-appointment. Hydrate like it’s your full-time job.
"What’s the downtime really like?" Dermaplaning: none—walk out selfie-ready. Microneedling: expect a “just-sunburned” flush for 24–48 hours; mild flaking days 3–5 is normal.
"How many Microneedling sessions will I need?" Most clients see noticeable improvement after three sessions spaced four weeks apart; six sessions deliver “wow, is that a filter?” levels of smoothing.
